Do you think what Obama said about soldiers not having ammo in Afghanistan is true.?

Of course he could have been an Army Captain when he was talking to him because he got promoted, and referring to when he a lieutenant of a rifle platoon. It's unlikely that they would be having ammo shortages, but it is not impossible. Screwups in supply happen, but it doesn't actually typify how a military unit usual operates. Of course, lack of armoring is another issue altogether.
