SIMS 3: Every time I travel to france for some reason now my sims are not showing up! HELP!?

So i tried to send my sims to france for 11 days because my sim is the leader of the free world and his wife has a visa level of 1 or 2 and their son. but when france loaded there were no sims ??? i clicked the little view sims on but that did not sho my sims.. HELP! i just want to travel!
