Sometimes I get laughed at too. I don't think the laughter is coming from what was said, but the fact that you said it. Especially if you don't (generally) speak Spanish, and then Spanish just comes out of your mouth from out of nowhere. Think about it. It *is* kind of funny. But don't take offense to it or let that embarr you from saying other things in Spanish.
