Why do vegetarians eat Sweets (candy)?, when most of them contain Gelatin from pigs and cows?

Why do vegetarians eat Sweets (candy)?, when most of them contain Gelatin from pigs and cows, I sometimes see vegetarians eating Haribo unaware it contains animals!
